Tri-Beta (βββ) is the national biological honor society. Any biology or biochemistry student can join as an associate member; those who meet the academic requirements are initiated as full members. Typical activities include:
- Invited speakers from the scientific community
- District and national conventions
- Research presentation competitions at conventions
- Student "journal club" presentations
- Social events
- Field trips

NCC Green's mission is to raise student awareness of environmental issues and influence policies at North Central and in the surrounding community. NCC Green welcomes interested students from any major. Some NCC Green events:
- Improving campus recycling programs
- Volunteering in local clean-up campaigns
- Providing information to the campus community
- Educational activities in public schools
- Camping retreats and field trips

PHO (Pre-Health Organization) supports students interested in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, nursing, physical therapyx and other health-science careers through a variety of activities, including:
- Speakers from the medical professions
- Information on applications and admissions testing
- Test reviews
- Health awareness education
- Travel to medical conferences
- Visits to health-science facilities

SAACS, also known as "ChemClub," is a student affiliate group of the American Chemical Society. Members promote chemistry education and support each other in their studies through events such as:
- Inviting seminar speakers to campus
- Community outreach - chemistry demonstrations
- Promoting "green chemistry"
- Review/tutoring sessions
- Presentations at ACS meetings
- Social events
