Undergraduate Research Opportunities
North Central College students don't just talk about science: they do science.
Wherever your life-science degree takes you, it's a sure bet you'll need quality, hands-on experience with the way science works. At North Central College, every Biology major graduates with research experience! You may choose to:
- Collaborate with a faculty mentor on a cutting-edge research project right here at North Central College
- Apply for our Summer Research Program for an intensive research experience
- Broaden your experience with off-campus summer programs and internships
- Take a research course including an inquiry-based research mini-project
Students present their research results at an interdepartmental seminar. Many go on to present at North Central's Rall Symposium, regional or national student research meetings, or professional conferences. A number of students have even co-authored research papers!
Undergraduate research is supported by donations from friends and alumni through the Endowment for Student Research in Science.
